The risk of learning disability in preschool children with communication disorders
Petrusová, Adéla ; Korandová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Horynová, Jana (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the risk of specific learning disabilities based on the partial function deficits in preschool children with communication disorders. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the terminology closely related to communication disorders. In addition, the thesis defines and clarifies the terminology of specific learning disabilities, their subdivisions as sell as describes the deficits of the partial function deficits, which are related to them. In the practical part, the course of the research investigation is described, and the analysis of the results is also carried out. The qualitative research was conducted in a preschool institute, and with the consent of the legal guardians of the participating children, individual anamneses of each children were taken. Subsequently, the diagnostic method of B. Sindelar, its evaluation and comparison with other individuals was carried out. The thesis also attempts to compare with the results published in the available literature on a similar topic. It concludes by offering early re-education options for children who are at risk of school failure due to identified impairments. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the theoretical risk of learning...
User Experience with the ROPRATEM program
DLOUHÁ, Kristína
This diploma thesis deals with the ROPRATEM program (the program for the development of work pace) and the experience of its users, specifically special pedagogues. Its aim was to clarify what progress pupils are making after the completion of th ROPRATEM program. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains three chapters - the first one focuses on partial functions, their deficits and their possible impact on human aktivity. The issue of executive functions and slow work pace is described in the second chapter, In the third and last chapter, the ROPRATEM program and other programs aimed at developing a similar spectrum of functions are presented. In the empirical part, the research objective of the thesis and research questions are defined. Next, the chosen research method (semi-structured interviews) and the procedure of the research investigation are described. In the particular sub-chapters, the obtained data are analyzed - they are thematically divided according to the spheres on which the conducted interviews were focused. At the end of the empirical part, the results of the research investigation are evaluated within the stated research objective and research questions. The results of the research show that after the completion of the ROPRATEM program pupils' work pace accelerates, their ability to self-control and their willingness to make control improve. Children's reading competences, visual perception, visual discrimination and visual memory also improve. Pupils are also better oriented in their duties, concentrate better, are more disciplined and more independent. Furthermore, it is possible register a more careful and faultless elaboration of assigned tasks, improvements in spatial orientation, intermodal abilities and seriality. Better fluency and uniformity in thinking and working out tasks are also monitored. Another positive impact is the deeping of the relationship between parents and their child.

TITLE: Pupils with specific learning disabilities and mathematics education in the second grade of primary school AUTHOR: Bc. Anna Dvořáková DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lenka Felcmanová ABSTRACT: The bachelor thesis deals with problems of mathematics education for pupils with specific learning disabilities in the second grade of primary school. Pupils with specific learning disabilities need special education support in mathematics lessons. Mathematics teachers should offer them this support. The level of mathematics education for pupils with specific learning disabilities is dependent on the level of knowledge, skills and the experiences of teachers and on the readiness of a school in dealing with pupils with specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part described problems like the deficits of partial functions, dyscalculia, and pupils with dyscalculia in mathematics lessons. It provides the needed academic foundation for the actual research. The field studies show the results of the qualitative methods of research of the readiness of mathematics teachers and schools in dealing with pupils with specific learning disabilities. It focuses on the needs of pupils and the possibilities for special education support. The thesis evaluates the current situation and...

School adulthood diagnostics Abstract: This thesis is devoted to the topic school adulthood and its diagnostics by the children in the pre-school age. In the theoretic part there are included basic information about the ontogeny of a child in the pre-school age and contemporary conception of pre-school aducation. There are explained the expressions school adulthood, school preparedness, postponement of obligatory shool attandance, partial functions and shortages of these functions here as well. There are also described the possibilities how to diagnose the functions that are neccessary for the sucessfull acquirement of school skills. You can find the information about the enrolment of a child to the basic school too. The aim for the empiric part is to find out if it is possible to contribute to the improvement of the choosen partial functions by the aid of their regular stimulation by the pre-school children and in this way to increase a change for the successful acquirement of school skills. I had made my exploration through four diagnostic tests focused on the choosen partial functions in two kindergartens in Prague.

Barešová, Eva ; Felcmanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Mlčková, Marie (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school maturity in the field of visual and auditory perception and its diagnostics in children in the last year of pre-school education. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of the development of the pre-school child and the conception of pre-primary education, the concepts of school maturity and readiness, risk factors of school failure, deferment of compulsory school attendance, partial functions and deficits of partial functions. Furthermore, the possibilities of diagnostics of phonological and visual perception and other methods of evaluation of the functions, which make the acquisition of school skills successful, are described. Also mentioned is the enrollment of a child into the first grade of elementary school. The objective of the empirical part is to find out whether it is possible to contribute to their maturation by regular stimulation of the partial functions in the field of visual and auditory perception in preschool children, thus improving the readiness of children to enter primary school. The research was carried out in two kindergartens through diagnostic and stimulating material. We predict learning disabilities (Sindelarová, 2016). Methods and tools of primarily quantitative character were used for the survey, incl....
